Lost My Mother Need Help Rebuilding
Donation protected
Hello to anyone who reads this.
If you can not donate, please share!
My name is Dan, I am disabled with no current income. A lot has changed for me this past year. Some has been good, but unfortunately most hasn't been for the better.
To start off, I will tell you a little about myself and what I have been through in the past year.
In early 2013, My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Seeing as we have a VERY small family (none of which is local) and no local friends to share the burden of care, I had to quit my part time job to be her sole caregiver to take care of her, and transport her to and from her daily radiation treatments. She fought tooth and nail till the end but sadly lost her battle on June 26th, 2014. Unfortunately, she had no savings or valuble property for me to sell to stay afloat. The rent had no way of getting paid, And because she had passed away, any and all government benefits that I had/was eligible for went away.
This left me with the only option of packing what I could into my car (a 2001 Subaru Forester) and leaving everything else behind to live with friends. My amazing friend Doug and his equally amazing mother quickly adopted me as their own and I settled into life 400 miles away from my home state of Massachusetts in Pennsylvania.
Things were going alright for the first few months but then my car developed an engine noise that got progressively worse over time. I am by no means a Master Technitian, but I know my way around a garage, and have done "backyard" mechanic work for friends and neigbhors. I have included a video of my actual car running so you can hear the noise yourself. It sounds like bottom end to me. And even if it is not what I think it is, The engine will still need a full rebuild/replacement.
I can do all the work myself, But I need money to do so. I already have most of the tools I will need like all the nessicary wrenches, sockets, engine lift Etc. But I will need to buy parts to fix the motor such as a new crank shaft, new bearings, piston rings, gaskets, getting the cyllanders honed at a machine shop, Etc. A lot of little things go into rebuilding an engine, but they add up pretty quickly.
This is where you come in. If you can donate a couple bucks, It would be much appretiated. Having my car back would enable me to seek out the help I need to get on disability here in PA or find a part time job to support myself and not have to rely on Doug for food.
If you are unable to donate, as I stated above, PLEASE share this so I might have a chance.
Thank you so very much to any and all donators!
