Our nephew Lincoln was born in September, a happy, healthy little guy, but after 3 weeks of life with little weight gain, the doctors discovered a heart murmur. The diagnosis : COA . (*A narrowing of the aorta, the main artery that delivers oxygen-rich blood to the body. The narrowing restricts the amount of oxygen-rich blood that can travel to the lower part of the body.)

This diagnosis meant airlifting Lincoln from Montana to Denver for immediate heart surgery. A 3 hour surgery, and a week in Denver later, we are happy to tell you everything was a success (blessings!!), and he's on the way back to his happy, healthy self.

Sometimes good health comes with a high price...
