Hi, My name is Ashley, I am a very good friend of the Moore Family. I am starting this fundraiser to reach out to the community for help for this family. Nobody ever wants to wake up to a phone call late at night from a nurse on the scene saying that their son/daughter was in a car accident and they were waiting on a life flight. On the night of February 16th at 11:13 pm that is exactly what happened to the Moore Family. Their son Jacob was a passenger in a bad car accident where they were waiting for a life flight, unfortunately, the life flight was not able to come to the scene because of the fog. He was taken to Bucktail, then later they tried to life-flight him from there to UPMC Williamsport but again weren't able to and he had to go again by ambulance. At this point, it has been hours since Tj and the family had gotten the call about his son and have yet to see him. Finally, they allowed the family to go back and see him just before he had to go into surgery. He had a punctured lung that has a chest tube. He had internal bleeding in his spleen and kidney. They did surgery to stop the bleeding. There was something wrong with his heart that was mild, but not concerning. Jacob had also broken his back. He still has an NG tube in because of some bleeding that is left over from the internal bleeding, so they're sucking the blood out. He is in lots and lots of pain. He does have some lacerations on his left shoulder that has some stitches. He also has some stitches in his ear. They did use some glue for some of the lacerations on his arm. Currently, he is still in the ICU at UPMC. Needless to say, Jacob has a long road to recovery, but definitely had a guardian angel looking after him. Tj will need to take off work to be with him and to get him to and from recovery. This will leave Carrie being the only adult working for the family. They are asking that if anyone could help out in any way in their time of need, it would greatly be appreciated. This is set up directly from their GOFUNDME account so all the money raised will go directly to them and nobody in between. There will be a lot of bills medical and daily bills that they will need help with since Tj will need to take off work to be with Jacob.
