Amys Fight

Update!! Amy started her chemotherapy treatment last Saturday. She DID have the gene that would allow her to take a particular treatment developed for her cancer. This is a PRAISE! God has already answered so many prayers! I submitted Her paperwork for MD Anderson on a Monday. By Friday of that same week she had an appointment! Thank you Jesus! Now here’s where the real work comes in friends. Her appointment with her oncology team is at 8:30 EST tomorrow morning. Please pray specifically for wisdom for not only the doctors but Dave and Amy. Please pray for guidance to decisions about treatment. Please pray for discernment. Please pray for traveling mercies. We thank you in advance and covet all prayers being lifted up for her. Hi, my name is Stacy Stansell and my precious sister in love is about to begin her battle to survive. Amy was diagnosed November 12th with lung cancer. On November 20th she was told not only does she have lung cancer but it had spread to her bones and bloodstream. The prognosis was grim with a 6-12 month estimate. Within a week we had contacted MD Anderson and on Friday, November 25th they set her appointment! We’ll be leaving for Houston on December 16th for her appointment on the 18th. We KNOW God has opened so many doors already and we’re trusting Him to continue to put the people in her path to save her life. We’re praying for miracles and believe they can happen. Amy is only 46 years old and she’s been in our lives for almost 30 years. She has her 2 boys who are the light of her world and need their Mom! She has my precious brother who will be so lost without her. We know the expenses are going to be vast and want to do all we can for her to not worry about finances during her fight.
