Cancer is a terrible thing. My father, Robert McAllister is now battling cancer for the fourth time in his life. This past spring he was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, a form of cancer that is in his lungs, but also effects the rest of his body in different ways including [painful] blood clots and extreme exhaustion. While going through his chemotherapy treatments, he continues to work 40 hours a week (or sometimes more if he is able to) to support our family. Before his treatments, he would work as much overtime as he could, but now he is too tired and can barely work the whole day without coming home completely exhausted. While doctors and nurses consistently tell him he should not be working as much, he knows that he has to so our family can keep our house. My dad is the only one of my parents working-being that my mother is on disability and is physically unable to go back to work right now. With her on disability we were forced to switch insurances, making all copays even higher for my dads doctor visits, chemo treatments, and medications. The bottom line is that my family is struggling very much to make ends meet and maintain living expenses such as heat, electric, and even groceries. We are doing everything we can but sometimes it is just not enough. All we're asking is for a few dollars or even just $1. If you are unable to donate we are asking for everyone to just keep him in your prayers. My parents are the best people I know and it kills me to see them struggling so much. Thank you ahead of time for any donations and prayers received. ♡♡
