This is Debi. Chuck is an absolute Trooper. He has been battling large B cell Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for nearly four years. He has been through many different treatments that have failed. He nor the doctors had given up. He has lost almost 120 lb. He still suffers from headaches bone pain, and has to walk with his walker to navigate himself. He cannot stay up for very long as he gets tired quickly. He suffers from short term memory. With all this said, so much more has gone on. Several hospital stays, blood transfusions, numerous treatments and countless trips to Shand's Hospital for cancer, Florida Cancer Specialists in Advent. He has not been able to have the bone marrow transplant with a donor because of compromised lung capacity. April 5th he will be admitted to the University of Florida Cancer Hospital ready to start chemotherapy for a week. Once this is true to work, he will start the auto bone marrow transplant. He will be in the hospital anywhere from three to four weeks. Once released he will need 24-hour care for two weeks and several trips to the University of Shands Cancer Center. We are told recovery after the two weeks can be anywhere from three to six months. With all he has gone through I praise God and everyone who has helped us with your heartfelt donations. With neither of us working it has been extremely difficult . Any assistance is extremly helpful.
I truly believe God is listening to every prayer from everybody. We have been through so much that it would take a book to tell you about it.
I developed sepsis approximately a year ago, leaving me with deep pressure wounds. Lately they are not healing as well. I believe they are just a day standstill right now. I was a little bit red around two of my Five Wounds. Today one seem to be lightening up, and the other is not. Praise the Lord, I have a nurse who comes in three times a week and changes my dressings after the different types of medication are used. We are working on a medication that will hopefully have been more quickly. We have tried the wound VAC; however it tore up my skin and didn't do well for me. Which I was quite happy about in one way wound vacs are extremely expensive. I also have a nurse practitioner wound specialist who comes in once a month to ensure everything is going well and that I am not getting infections. It's costly for me to go to the wound center. Or any place I need to be. I have to be transported as I am still bedridden. So mainly of my doctor's appointments are all tella appointments. Please continue to pray for me as well. My co-pays and medications are extremely high. Between Chuck and I our prescription runs approximately $700 a month. We also have to have a full time Caretaker and pay bills. Please Pray.
We will know more after the week of April 5th about Chuck. I will try and keep you up dated.
I'm still having trouble to talk text and am terrible at texting, so please bear with me.
I'm extremely nervous and I'm sorry if this post is not as informative as I would like it to be. I will try better to answer my text and PM's more timely.
I'm so extremely humbled and grateful for all your donations, support,Love and especially prayers.
Sending love and hugs to all of you.⁹
I pray God continues
to bless you and your family. I pray he takes
care of any ill loved
ones .
God bless
