What does HHC do?
Hypha Humboldt Community 501(c)(3)-pending provides space to hold sacred ritual and healing through communion with divine sacraments. We are a religious community, incorporated as a California religious nonprofit with the purpose of being a church, in the United States of America.
We host four, fifteen-week ceremonial containers per year. Each container is a different element: Air, Fire, Earth and Water. Our macrodose ceremonies fall on either the solstices or the equinoxes.
There will be a group of 10 individuals who have shared life experiences who go through the container together. We will do 4 containers per year and have 40 congregants of the church on the first year.
Weeks 1-3: We prepare the body for microdose ceremony on zoom
Weeks 3-10: Congregants embark on a ceremonial microdosing journey together on zoom
Week 11: Congregants sit in ceremony together in person on the equinoxes or solstices
Weeks: 12-15 We provide integration support from ceremony via zoom.
We will host monthly integration circles and community meetings for members to continue their connections made during their ceremonial container.
The church provides the ceremonial microdoses and ceremonial macro doses to each congregant by gift in the city limits of Arcata.
Hypha Humboldt Community seeks to reclaim sovereign, spiritual healing through education and ritual. We honor traditions and history of sacred plant medicine while also incorporating new traditions and ceremonies. Our values include personal authority, inclusion, social justice, environmental justice, ecosystem balance (internally & externally) and a recognition of intersectionality of each human being. We seek to be free from dogma, and support sacred sovereignty of each congregant.
Why do we do it?
Our mission is help those seeking community and ritual. We want to serve those that are seeking to reconnect with their body and soul. We long to help those who are seeking divine balance in their mental health. To help answer the unanswerable questions about life, purpose, and belonging. To help find divine balance from trauma, abuse, and grief. As many of us at HHC have experienced a great deal of these things-psilocybin has been essential to our journey. We believe that all suffering comes from severed belonging.
