Team Hypershock Robotics

Cypress Ridge Elementary School students Aaron, Aidan, Jackson and Max formed a Vex IQ Robotics team last June. On the first page of their design notebook they wrote their team goal, "to make it to the World Robotics tournament in Kentucky." These four boys put hours upon hours into designing, building, and programming their robots. During their three competitions they won the Design Award for detailing and drawing every step of the building process, and two Excellence Awards, which are given to one team per tournament with the highest overall score for driving, design, design interview,STEM research project, and autonomous program. These awards qualified them to compete in the Florida State Robotics Tournament. They went to Tampa last Saturday with their hopes high that they would achieve their goal to make it to Worlds. It was a roller coaster of a day with many tears shed, but in the end these boys were awarded the Elementary Excellence Award! This award qualifies the boys to go to the Vex IQ World Robotics Tournament in April, which is held in Louisville, Kentucky. Travel and lodging expenses will be each family's responsibility. If you are able to donate to help the boys, we would be greatly appreciative. Thank you for your support!
