Hi my name is Siobhan and I am writing an anthology of first-person stories written by people who have hyperacusis, which is a condition where a person has an oversensitivity to sound. Unlike many other disabilities, there are currently no collections of personal stories in book form written by people with hyperacusis. By publishing this book, I hope to help validate the experiences of those with this condition, contribute to greater awareness as well as advocate for more research funding. As the book will be self-published, I am raising money for the costs of editing, cover design and printing of this book. All money from the sale of the book wil be donated to an organization called Hyperacusis Research and any leftover funds from Go Fund Me will also be donated to them.
