Saddle Up for Mila’s Foundation
Hi I am Cedric and I'm competing at the BPC Negrita Cup polo tournament taking place between the 9th and 18th May 2025 in Barcelona. It is one of the most outstanding events on the Spanish sports calendar.
This year I'm raising funds for Mila's foundation a UK registered charity created by Mila's parents to raise funds to raise awareness and fund research for Alexander's Disease. A devastating and life limiting disease their daughter Mila is suffering with.

Hi, I’m Mila. I’m just 7 years old, but I’ve already been fighting a cruel and rare enemy: Alexander Disease (AxD). This devastating neurological disorder slowly steals away my ability to move, speak, and even smile. It attacks my brain’s white matter, causing seizures, swallowing difficulties. Every day, I face challenges no child should ever have to endure.
AxD is relentless and fatal. My future is uncertain, and my time is painfully limited. I don’t know how long I have or what will be taken from me next. The clock is ticking, and without a cure, I may lose the simple joys of childhood such as laughing, even breathing on my own.
But there is a glimmer of hope. Ground-breaking gene therapies and new drugs offer a chance to stop this merciless disease. Brilliant scientists are racing against time to find a cure, but they desperately need funding to continue their life-saving work.
That’s why my parents and I created Mila’s Foundation-to raise the funds that can bring hope to children like me. Every donation brings us one step closer to a future where no child has to suffer like this.
Since 2020, we’ve been actively involved in research partnerships, fundraising events, and collaborations with leading experts worldwide to fight this disease.
