When my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just 7 years old, our world changed in an instant. Years of needles, pumps, alarms, and countless sleepless nights followed—but so did her incredible strength.

Today she’s 19, living boldly and refusing to let T1D define her. But this disease never takes a day off, and no family should have to face it alone

we have been in ICU so many times when her blood sugars have been so high due to illness. No fault of her own. We have been in DKA (just google it). Had clothes cut off her to try to stabilise her.
