Lydia went through her third brain surgery this morning. They had to break up a pocket of infection that the antibiotics couldn’t treat. It’s been a tough first month for this baby girl.
Anthony and Vanessa are the proud new parents of Lydia. She was born 1/23/23 with Hydrocephalus and has been in the NICU since birth. She had her first brain surgery at less than a week old. Doctors installed a shunt to drain the excess fluid and all seemed great. Unfortunately Baby Lydia was again admitted to the hospital last night due to an infection on the shunt. She will once again be undergoing brain surgery in an effort to remove the infected fluid. This has left Mom and Dad in a very tough financial position. Anything helps. Thanks all.
