CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS SITE ARE EXCLUSIVELY FOR HYATT COLLEAGUES AFFECTED BY HURRICANE IAN AT MANAGED AND FRANCHISED, FULL-SERVICE AND SELECT PROPERTIES AND REMOTE GPGS EMPLOYEES IN FLORIDA. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THIS CAMPAIGN PUBLICLY.
On September 28th, Hurricane Ian, a category 4 storm, made landfall along Florida’s Southwest coast. The storm with sustained winds of 155 mph brought catastrophic winds, heavy rains, and floods.
Sadly, many of our Hyatt colleagues’ homes and properties sustained considerable damage in Bonita Springs, Orlando, Key West, and Lake Nona. In particular, many Hyatt colleagues, including many at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, evacuated the immediate area for safer locations. Hyatt Regency Coconut Point property is still assessing all the damage and is hopeful for an early November reopen date. Additionally, the Americas HR team is actively working with property-level HR teams in the hardest hit locations to assess the impact on our colleagues and will update this campaign as more information becomes available. The GPGS HR Team is also working to assess the impact on its remote colleagues.
To help Hyatt colleagues at our managed and franchised hotels and remote based GPGS colleagues in Florida that have been impacted by Hurricane Ian to recover, we invite you to utilize our fundraising campaign on this page. Hyatt Corporation will match each $1 contributed to this campaign, up to $25,000.
Funds raised will be distributed directly to the hotels' local HR team and GPGS HR team to disperse to impacted colleagues. Your contribution will help bring relief and hope to colleagues affected by Hurricane Ian.
Any excess funds raised through this campaign will be used for future humanitarian crises and/or disaster relief efforts that impact the Hyatt family.
The Hyatt family’s thoughts are with all Hyatt colleagues who have been impacted by this devastating Hurricane Ian.
In the interest of the privacy of our colleagues, please do not share this campaign publicly.
Thank you.
**Additional colleagues may be added to this Relief Fund on an as-needed basis.
**Should there be more funds raised than there is need, any excess funds collected will be used for future humanitarian crises or disaster relief efforts that impact the Hyatt family.
** This is not a contribution to a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions on this page do not qualify for a tax deduction under U.S. law. Colleagues in other jurisdictions may wish to consult their tax advisors.
