Bishop Manigo was inspired by Isaiah 56:7 which states: "Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people." One planteth, one watereth, but God provides the increase. In this same way, Bishop Manigo planted, after Bishop Manigo's death- Overseer Smith is watering, and God is providing the increase.
We believe that God's increase is not only viable in our four walls, but also feasible for our greater community. The Nehemiah Project serves to address the holistic person: spiritually, physically, and socially. Your support would directly impact the following goals:
1) Spiritual: Providing a space for spiritual growth through the teaching of God's word. This goal directly speaks to assistance in acquiring our new sanctuary.
2) Physically: Providing a space for health and wellness (athletics, fitness, etc.). The nearest gym for this community is currently 15-20 miles away.
3) Socially: Providing a space for youth activities, community events, after school programming, and child care. These services are not currently active in the area.
We have already procured and cleared 6.2 acres of land for these efforts, and have raised $62,000 and aim to raise $150,000 on our own. We are asking for your help in bettering our community by being a part of the process and assisting in raising an additional $100,000.
Thank you for your help in making the Nehemiah Project a reality. We are appreciative of your generosity. God bless!
