Hello!
I am very excited to be sharing with you that I have decided to take a gap year from school to attend a discipleship training school at YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Kona, Hawaii. I recently flew out to California to attend a Christian conference called VOX, and it really challenged my current path in life. I was greatly humbled and I was inspired by speakers like Nick Vujicic and Andy Byrd to really seek out my faith and have a firm foundation in God before I began my college career. I’ve become super eager to encounter Jesus and learn more of Him!
I have been searching for an organization that would help bring me closer to God and also allow me to share His love with those who have not yet received it, and I truly believe that YWAM would be an awesome place for me to do just that. YWAM is a global movement whose mission is to “know God and make Him known.” This organization primarily works with youth to equip them with all that they need to reach out to all the nations of the world through missions.
This school is a 6-month program that includes a 3-month training phase and a 3-month outreach phase. During the training phase, I will learn all about my identity in Christ, the Nature and Character of God, how to study and communicate God’s Word effectively, and more. Then, taking everything that I’ve learned from the training phase, I will go into the outreach phase, where I will go out to the nations to preach, teach, and transform lives and impact societies with the love of Jesus Christ. I’m so excited to see all that God has in store for me and what He has planned for my life. I hope and pray that you will be able to join me in my journey through prayer and support! :)
To attend this school, I will need to raise $3,995 for the training phase (which includes my room and board), and between $4,000 and $6,000 for the outreach phase, depending on where we go on our mission trip. Any amount that you would like to donate would be greatly appreciated!
If you are unable to make a donation at this time, I would still greatly appreciate it if you could pray for me! I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I would love if you could pray for me before and even during my time at YWAM. Thank you in advance for your help and support!
