Greetings - my name is James Ridgley and I am tired of waiting on others in "Hollywood" to make or not make my movie and am doing it myself!
Here is the project:
MISUNDERSTOOD: Drama NEW TITLE: A NATURAL DISORDER OF THINGS
“A recluse teen comes of age while waiting to get into his preferred University, dealing with his first love and a new Autism diagnosis.”
As a father to a child on the high functioning Autism spectrum, I wanted to tell a story about what that experience was like. Discovering it late in the child’s life; discussions with doctors and spouses about the pros and cons of medication; worries involved in what life might be like after the “diagnosis.”
I wrote from my heart about my experiences and came up with the feature film script MISUNDERSTOOD.
Written for the smallest budget imaginable, specially from the multi-million dollar films being made, I still need some funding for this micro-budget screenplay.
Skilled crew behind the camera and skilled Talent in front of the camera needs to be taken care of. Food, gas money. Equipment also - lights, camera, pro-sound equipment is not cheap either.
Please help in any way you can - any amount you can. $5, $10; $25……… $3 Million!

Part of the team leading to Christopher Plummer winning his Oscar. Wins for him include an Emmy Certificate and a Director's Award.
Being a screenwriter for 30 years he had 2 original TV Pilots in development and 3 Horror scripts in line for funding - one in which he was to be flown to New York to direct - but because of Covid costs - all for naught.

Jaan Kristjan Utno is a producer and cinematographer from Estonia, based in Los Angeles.
His journey began in his home town of Tallinn. Travelling through Europe and Asia shooting narrative and commercial projects, he made his way to Los Angeles, working throughout all technical departments involved in motion picture production. He finds great satisfaction bringing vibrant dreams and stylized visions to the silver screen. A project is complete when the visuals compliment the story, has enough to intrigue and invites conversation.
Projects he has been attached to have been selected to numerous Film Festivals, later landing distribution deals with Amazon Prime, Netflix, Apple TV and HBO.
