Bourbon is the sweetest puppy you will ever meet. He doesn't know a stranger and greets every living creature like they're his new best friend. He's my first dog and such a gift to my life, I cannot imagine a single day without him.

Out of no where, in the last 48 hours, Bourbon's health took a turn for the worse and he started showing signs for distemper (despite being up to date on his vaccinations). He is being hospitalized to hopefully get him better but the bills, as you can imagine, are not cheap.

I never thought I would do something like this, but I would do anything for my baby, Bourbon. Maybe it's my fault for getting a puppy when the financial burden may prove to be too much in an emergency situation but we all think that will never happen to us.  I know I never thought this would happen to him.

I, Bourbon's mom, work for a non-profit and bottom line is, I don't have a lot of money.  I'm spending what I can but a few days at the hospital and what I have will be gone.  Any little bit that you would be willing to donate to help me cover Bourbon's vet bills through this difficult time would be appreciated. There's no expectation for anyone to help at all, this is just a last stitch effort to take care of these costs and have my sweet nugget back to his happy self soon.
