My name is Norman Eigl. Some of you may already know me as a long-time Cairns local who has taken on many physical and mental challenges over the years, ranging from small personal goals to major endurance events.

Through these challenges, I’ve worked hard on becoming the best version of myself and building a strong mindset. They’ve taught me discipline, dedication, determination, accountability, integrity, resilience, and consistency, values I now carry into everyday life.

This next challenge will be my biggest and craziest yet.

I am attempting to break the current World Record for the Broad Jump Burpee Marathon. If successful, the achievement will be submitted to Guinness World Records for official recognition. The current record stands at 197 hours, just over 8 days.

The event will be held at Woree State High School, which makes this challenge even more meaningful to me. I attended both Woree Primary School and Woree State High School, graduating in 2001, so coming back to attempt a world record there feels like a full-circle moment and a great story for the Cairns community.

The World Record Attempt is scheduled to start 07:00 on the 3rd July 26.

Most importantly, this challenge is about giving back to the community.

I am raising money for ROSIES, a local homeless support charity in Cairns that prepares and serves food to those in need. ROSIES is a non-government organisation that relies heavily on community donations, and supporting a local charity like this means a lot to me.

Sponsorship & donations received will go towards both creating the event and supporting the charity. Money raised from this Go Fund Me will go towards running the World Record Attempt.

Including food, hydration, recovery supplies, lighting, public liability insurance, video equipment for official recording, witnesses required by Guinness World Records, and medical personnel on site etc

It would genuinely mean the world to me to have your support and involvement in this event. This is not only something special for me personally, but also an opportunity to bring the Cairns community together and create history.
