Urgent Care Needed for Luna's Recovery

I'm reaching out because I need help getting Luna the weekly visits she needs after someone swerved off the road one night to hit the dogs I was trying to split up.

The night started when I was trying to load my dogs up, Luna and her two siblings. But before I could open the doors to load them up in the truck, a wandering dog came flying up and started attacking my three.

A peaceful night turned into a mess of dogs, teeth, and fur. And as soon as it started, I was trying to grab whoever I could and throw them into my vehicle to get them away from this large aggressive dog. I managed to get ahold of two and get them closed in, but as I was running back to try and grab Luna, I heard the sound of someone accelerating down the road. And before I even reached them, this truck swerved off the road and hit Luna broadside.

Being on my own, I didn't have anyone to help me as I kicked the other dog away from Luna, who was stunned and on her side. Picking her up, I brought her into the light so I could see everything wrong while calling the ER vet.

A 20-minute trip later, she was rushed back and spent 5 hours in the back being cared for before one of the vets came back and let me know that she had a broken leg, several puncture wounds, some lacerations, and a concussion.

They put her on IV fluids and monitored her for another 5 hours before I was allowed to take her home with pain meds and antibiotics, and an advised treatment plan of 8-12 weeks of splints and splint changes to know if the bones will heal or if she will need an amputation.

So every 5-7 days, she will have an appointment with her primary vet to monitor her and make sure she is on the right track. But I need help with those visits as I am being told it will be $500-$800 per visit on the low end, which makes a minimum of $2000 a month, and unfortunately, that is all I make in a month.

If you could help even a dollar, that would help so much towards her care. I don't ask for help often, but with the $2500 ER bill I am paying out and the repairs I had to do to my vehicle to be able to drive her to her appointments, I know I need the help and am asking if any of you can.

All donations will be put towards her care, such as exam fees, X-Rays, spilts/casts, medications, and if deemed necessary surgery.
