The only thing that has been found is she has two abnormalities. Looking at scans there are two blood vessels that are in places they shouldn't be and this may be the cause. Surgery to remove these blood vessels is a possibility but the priority is her waking up without signs or symptoms of seizures.
She is currently at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Andrea is still in an induced coma. She is looking a lot better though. After speaking with nurses there has been no brain damage so far. Also, the EEG has shown no sign of seizure activity so far. Which is a blessing!
The plan is to let her wake up on her own tonight (January 6). They won’t be medicating her anymore, to see if she wakes up on her own. She has been heavily medicated over the past few days so we have been told that it could take longer.
Right now we are just waiting on test and it’s hard but it’s an opportunity for us to continue to pray for her.
I believe and pray a miracle is on the way. Her family does too. My trust is in God.
Lastly, it would really hurt me even more if Andrea and her family had to worry about money or medical bills. The several ambulance rides, all the medication, hospital stays, the airlift, etc. are adding up. I honestly don't know how much she'll need but people have been asking to give money to me for gas, food, lodging, etc. I want all of it to go to Andrea.
Andrea has been through so much in her life even before this but she's always been strong. She honestly has never asked for anything of anyone. She has worked ever since she was 13. Has paid for numerous bills. Put herself through 2 years of college. Bought herself a car along with paying her own insurance. I know for a fact she wouldn't ask for help so I'm asking for her.
I want her focus and her entire families focus to be on her getting through this.
It’s okay if you can’t just please keep praying. Even if you can refer me to weddings that way I'll be able to help her more.
I'll keep you updated when I can
