Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

We never imagined we would find ourselves in a situation like this, but here we are, reaching out for help. My fiancé and I were on our engagement trip, excitedly celebrating our future together, when Hurricane Helene struck. What should have been one of the happiest times in our lives turned into a nightmare.

When we returned, we were met with unimaginable heartbreak—our home was destroyed, left completely uninhabitable. Our cars were lost as well, leaving us without transportation. In an instant, everything we had built and worked for was taken from us. On top of this, our beloved cat suffered a medical emergency adding to the overwhelming burden we’re already carrying.

We are trying to pick up the pieces, but the road ahead feels daunting and uncertain. We have no home, no cars, and the weight of unexpected financial challenges is immense. We are doing our best to stay hopeful, but it’s hard when every day feels like we’re starting from scratch.
