Hi everyone, my name is Olivia, I am Katelynn’s roommate… On July 8th, we lost someone truly special. Charlie Whitt took his own life and while the pain of that truth is heavy, what we want to remember is the quiet strength and goodness that made Charlie who he was. He didn’t always say much but those who knew him knew he had a big heart and a kind soul. He loved deeply even if he didn’t always show it the way others expected.

Charlie was a husband, a father, a friend. He leaves behind his wife/Best Friend Katelynn and his young son Tristan, who are now facing the impossible — life without him. While they grieve and try to find their footing, we want to wrap them in as much love and support as we possibly can.

This fundraiser is to help ease the financial burden that comes with such a sudden and tragic loss. The money raised will help cover funeral expenses, allow family time and resources for counseling and anything else they need to get through these next few months.

Charlie was more than his final day. He was a good man who loved his family, and even in his silence he carried so much inside of him. We can’t go back and change what happened but we can move forward with love and help carry his family through.
