Hi everyone.

As most of you will already know, my husband Daniel is in the ICU.

Daniel is a truck driver and I knew he was sick and he had agreed to find a place to stop, since he was on his way home anyway, and let me take him to the hospital.

As soon as I saw him, we called the ambulance.

He is in very bad shape.

He was admitted with a severe case of pneumonia and (so far) about 5 liters of pus in his chest.

He has so many things wrong with him right now. We are slowly trying to figure it out.

We were told he will need surgery to repair a hole in his lungs and finish clearing out the infection.

He will likely be here for well over a week.

But the truth is, we have no idea yet.

Of anything that's going on, honestly.

Little bit by little bit we see new doctors with new questions unanswered.

He is very sick. The way I've seen him the last 2 days will stick with me for the rest of my life. It's been terrifying. And it's no where near over.

And of course, our Insurance doesn't start until February 1st.

So we are on the hook for all of this.

I'd rather have a very large hospital bill than a dead husband, but that has led me here.

Of course, I don't know what the cost of this stay will be yet. So I may change our goal. But for now I have added a goal to pay for 2 months worth of bills.

I will return to work asap. As will he.

But he will need time. And I am too scared to leave his side.

You all know Daniel is a family man. He outs me and our children before anything. Even his own health. Obviously.

This man would lasso the moon if we asked him to.

So this is the least I can do for him.

To ease the financial burden a little bit.
