This goofy guy is Luke. He is my boyfriend, and earlier this year, we found out he has Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome. We did not find this out in an easy way.
One evening his heart would not stop racing, and while we decided to wait in the morning and him to sleep it off. At 7am, he called me, saying he had not closed his eyes because of how fast his heart was racing and how much pain he was in. We went to the hospital with his heart rate being 225. It had been that way since the night before.
The doctor told us that Luke had WPW (Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome). In Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome, an extra electrical pathway between your heart's upper and lower chambers causes a rapid heartbeat. The condition, which is present at birth, is relatively rare. While most go through life without problems, Luke is not so lucky. He could have more attacks that could lead to worse things. He comes from a background that does not allow him to have health insurance and so doctors' offices and getting the surgery would come out of pocket.

We were told by the doctor that the best fix would be for Luke to get a radiofrequency catheter ablation. To my understanding, they will cut the extra pathway and burn it off from my research; this costs about 4,000 dollars. We are not in a position to buy that right now. I am asking for anything you can donate anything will help for sure.
We are both 20-year-olds that are trying to figure life out, and it is already hard enough.
Please help us.
