As many of you know on July 10th Scott suffered a major stroke to the cerebellum lobe. He was taken by ambulance to OC Memorial where they discovered that the lower part of his brain had increased swelling, which required him to be transferred to UCLA’s ICU Stroke Center. He remained in critical condition with the possibility of brain surgery to decrease pressure on his brain. God can and does show up in our time of need, through the power of prayer he made it out of critical condition not needing surgery and each day showed small signs of improvement. He spent 1 week at UCLA in the ICU and was able to stabilize enough that Kaiser (our insurance provider) required him to be transferred to their facility in Anaheim, where he made even more improvements and moved out of ICU and on to a regular floor within days of arriving. Due to the stroke Scott had very little control/movement on his left side, and after a week at Kaiser they felt he was stable enough to start rehab. He is currently at Encompass rehab facility in Tustin, our 4th, and hopefully last stop before bringing him home. He has a long road ahead to regain the use and dexterity of his left side. We don’t know what Scott’s future will look like, but we are very grateful he is still with us and making such amazing improvements everyday! Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers for Scott and Lisa.
