Hello Everyone,

I’m writing this on behalf of my cousin, Heejin, who received the devastating news today morning that her husband, Hwanseok Yi, has passed away.

Her husband spent the night outside of home because he was assigned work at a far location. While he was on the way back, early in the morning, he got into an accident that took his life. My cousin and their 3 children who were expecting his return ended up receiving the news that he has passed away.

Hwanseok Yi was a hardworking father and a loving husband. Even though he seriously injured one of his arms, he still went to work that day so that he can provide for his family. He leaves behind 2 daughters ages 12 and 11 and a 3 year old baby boy (my nieces and nephew).

My cousin is currently bearing all the weight of taking care of 3 children who have just lost their father. But on top of that, she has to bear the loss of her beloved husband whom she was married to for over 12 years. And to make matters worse, she has to bear all the financial burdens from everyday living expenses to the upcoming funeral expenses since her husband was the main provider and he didn’t have life insurance.
