Hello all,

As most of you know I'm having top surgery in late July. I am very lucky that our insurance is going to cover 80% of the procedure.

unfortunately, I am a contract worker and thus don't get sick time, or paid time off and I'm going to have to take six weeks off work for recovery. With the help of my amazing mother, Stacy and I have saved up enough to cover my leave from work.

The surgeon and thus the surgery is in Baltimore.

Why Baltimore Erin?

I'm glad you asked! Yes we have a lot of very good plastic surgeons here in atlanta, but when I went looking I only found "we do Brest implants, and liposuction, and butt lifts, and also top surgery." This is a major surgery, I do not want to be "and also". So I went looking for the best top surgeons and found Dr. Del Correll in Baltimore on the recommendation of my NP.

So we will be traveling up to Baltimore. We have to stay for the week so that we can do post op for the surgery. So, ok, cool, we put away money for that too.

BUT it has come up that we will have to stay up there longer than we initially planned, and since we've already stretched ourselves pretty thin, I was hoping y'all could help a fella out and chip in for the cause.

the money will go toward accommodations, food for while we're there, and gas for the car as we drive back and forth to the doctor the air bib (because who can afford hotels these days) and then back to atlanta with another stop to sleep along the way.
