Stand with Jennifer's Family in Their Struggle
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers:
My name is Tina Janopoulos, and I am reaching out through this platform to earnestly and kindly ask for your donation for a family that is loved by so many, but who I have personally watch struggle with the most impossible situation.
Our dear friend, Jennifer Ceplecha, was diagnosed last June with stage 4 neuro-endocrine cancer of the colon and liver at age 52. After receiving this devastating diagnosis, Jennifer has valiantly fought her disease with grace, and dignity, and most of all humor (which is no surprise to those that love her). Although, we knew this cancer was incurable, with the help of her medical team at Northwestern Medicine, Tom-Jennifer's husband of 30 years, and their three young adult children, there was reason to hope that perhaps Jen could live with the tumors for a few years.
Unfortunately, this was not to be, and our time with this amazingly kind and funny woman is soon to be cut short. Jennifer entered into hospice care on May 30, 2024.
Although Tom has been able to work most of the time due to the help of Jennifer's friends stepping up to aid in care giving, the bills have been mounting. Additionally, their oldest child was released from her summer job, as a nanny to a family in North Carolina, because she needed to be in Illinois to help her mother through her end of life transition. Jennifer and Tom's youngest, was also forced to quit the second job he was working to pay for his schooling, so that he is able to be by his mother's bedside during these last few days.
At this point, during the hardest time in all of their lives, I realize that it is time to ask for help from their community.
Your donations will be used to:
- ease the financial burden on this family who has suffered so much.
- Support any further medical expenses that Jennifer's care might incur
I humbly ask you to consider donating to this loving and amazing family. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. If you are unable to financially support the family, we ask that you keep all of them in your hearts as they navigate this next phase of their lives without the shining light that Jennifer is.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support during this heartbreaking time. Together we can show Jennifer's family that they are never alone.
