End of life expenses For Jennifer’s Father, Hector

Jennifer’s father, Hector Rangel, unexpectedly passed away due to complications with COVID-19. At the time of his passing, Hector lived in Tennessee. Unfortunately, since Jennifer is in Dallas, TX this has caused end of life arrangements to be an extra financial burden than normal. In addition to the cost of cremation, Jennifer needs to travel, by car, to Tennessee to pick up her father’s ashes, hire a team to disinfect the mobile home where her father lived, empty the mobile home by throwing away non essential items and bring back only the important items her father owned. The estimated cost also includes car rental, gas expenses, and hotel stay. All of this would be paid and organized by Jennifer with some help from her family as well. However, any amount would be extremely helpful and sincerely appreciated. 


Jennifer is an Urban Planner and advocate for equitable and fair housing in our city. Jennifer’s advocacy has been an inspiration to me and many others. I believe that the community would like the opportunity to support Jennifer through this time, however we can, as she has supported us being the eyes and ears of those who cannot always be vigilant themselves.
