Vet expense treatment for IMHA-autoimmune anemia

 

 

 

 

 

Hi, my name is Margaret, and I am fundraising for our sweet and lovable canine, Bailey. She’s is 6 years old and is very playful. Over the past few weeks, we’ve noticed loss of appetite and low energy. After a recent veterinary diagnosis, they’ve encountered that she has developed

Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA).

Unfortunately her immune system is destroying its own red blood cells. This breaks our hearts because she is our first puppy and is our family’s companion. We love her very much. This is the first time she’s ever been sick and her annual routine checkups have always been normal. 

The Dr.’s, are requiring intensive care (possibly blood transfusion) and treatment includes a variety of drugs and close monitoring of vital signs and labs (may require hospitalization).
