Dianne's Heart Fund
Donation protected
Two years ago my best friend, Dianne Reyes Jackson, found out she had a heart condition that may require a heart transplant sometime in her life. Now, two years later at age 30, her doctors at Stanford Hospital told her that her failing heart will only beat 1 more year and that she is now going to be placed on the heart transplant list. In the meantime, she had to go through a major heart surgery to connect a temporary LVAD device to her heart, which will pump her blood for her while she waits for a new heart. Dianne had this LVAD surgery done less than a week ago. The following day she had a blood clot that required another surgery to remove. Dianne was placed in an induced sleep for a few days and she is now in the ICU. She has developed Pneumonia and will be put under sedation once again. She will be in the hospital for at least 6 weeks, but will be in and out of the hospital after that.
This is just the beginning of the difficulties that Dianne and her husband, David will encounter. They are both optimistic, strong fighters, supporting one another, but they need our prayers and support. We may not be able to give Dianne a heart, but we can show her some love. Because of this illness, David has used all his Paid Time Offs. Please donate money- any amount at all- to help out with some of their expenses. The donations from this fund will help them pay off some of their expenses and allow David to be with his wife through these difficult times. Also, please keep Dianne and her family in your prayers.
Thank you,
Rhona Wiggins
