Hello Friends!
Let me start by saying "thank you" for the love, prayers and support you have provided the Garcia family during this time.
Tilde, lovingly known to many as Mrs. Garcia, passed away peacefully on June 13th from her fight with pulmonary fibrosis. She was a caring, compassionate, beautiful soul that was loved and will be missed by many. We will not forget the impact she left on this world any time soon.
Pulmonary fibrosis is a lung disease that occurs when lung tissue becomes damaged and scarred, making it more difficult for your lungs to work properly. Despite this diagnosis, Tilde continued to live her life positively, making the necessary changes to suppress the symptoms and minimize the effects of the disease.

Tilde was strong! Though the disease affected her differently from day to day, she continued to be an amazing teacher. She started each day with a warm smile and welcoming spirit, ready to inspire and support. Her light-hearted nature, positive energy, sense of humor and contagious laugh, brightened the lives of everyone around her. She saw many of her students graduate and move on to do great things with their lives. And she often went out of her way to ensure that her students felt valued and loved in her classroom. Tilde taught primary grades for nineteen years and changed the lives of hundreds of young children in that time. As a teacher, Tilde gave countless hours educating these young people in their minds, bodies, and spirits, inspiring confidence, maturity, and so much growth over the years. As Lenny would agree, teaching was "their" life and her students were "their" kids.

She has left behind a loving husband, Lenny, who is equally as remarkable a person as she was.
Tilde and Lenny are the epitome of a loving relationship. Everyone knew Tilde and Lenny as downright amazing people. Although we cannot take away the pain that Lenny is left feeling, in loving memory of Tilde, we are hoping to alleviate some of the financial stress, such as the funeral, medical bills, and savings the two may have used to pay for medical expenses. Tilde and Lenny gave so much of themselves to everyone around them, we hope, in some way, to be able to give something back.

Part of your generous donation will be gifted to the JW House (https://jwhouse.org/), a facility on the Santa Clara Kaiser campus that welcomes families and individuals from area hospitals for rest and self-care during the day or overnight while their loved one is in the hospital.
Thank you and God bless you for your support.
