Housing for Josie

I am raising money for my dear friend of 20 years who is on the verge of homelessness.
Josie is a wonderful writer, artist, and friend who is struggling to obtain safe, affordable housing in Chicago. She is out of work and has chronic health conditions, and would be at great risk without housing as of November 1st. We have connected her with affordable housing organizations that serve her community but there are waiting lists and an overall lack of resources for emergency situations. I don't want to see Josie end up on the streets where she could face personal danger, especially as the weather gets colder.
I am raising money to obtain safe, temporary housing while she works with housing orgs to obtain permanent affordable housing.
If 10 people gave $10, we could cover a month of utilities.
If 15 people gave $50, that's a security deposit.
If 8 people gave $100, that is a month of rent.
I am hoping to raise enough money to secure temporary housing through the winter.
