Our dear friend Cody Hartley has been unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer. He went into the hospital Friday, January 12th and had emergency surgery to remove a tumor around his neck vertebrae. The doctors believe they got about 80% of the tumor removed, but they found other masses on his kidney, lung and pelvis. They would like Cody to recover from the spinal surgery before they start treatments on the other masses. He is currently in the ICU at Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh and will eventually be moved to Shadyside’s Oncology Department for further treatments. Cody’s mother Dianne (Jim) and girlfriend Angela will be by his side as much as possible, but unfortunately can’t be 24/7. Any money donated will be used to support said family, as well as pay for medical bills that are soon to come. Any amount your willing to contribute is so immensely appreciated. And if you’re not able to contribute money at this time, just sharing Cody’s story would mean the world to us. Our thoughts and prayers are with Cody, his doctors/care staff, and family in this very trying time.
