Traumatic brain injury survivor
Donation protected
Hi my name is Tyler Graves, my husband Chris Graves had an unfortunate experience on 10/3/23 which resulted in cardiac arrest and death. By the grace of God Chris was resuscitated and rushed to the hospital where he then was in a comatose state for several weeks. The Drs said he would never be able to walk, talk or remember anything and need around the clock care. They assured me that pulling the plug on him would make the most sense being as though he would be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life if he awoke from his coma. I loved him too deeply and my faith in God was too strong for me to accept that and give on his life. As a result to me not allowing them to take him off the ventilator and do everything possible to sustain his life(tracheostomy, peg stomach tube) he has survived and is progressing more and more each day ! Although he survived his prognosis “vegetable” he sustained a traumatic brain injury which has and continues to cause a strain on our finances, his physical abilities and sight. As his wife I am on a unpaid leave from work, so that I may take care of my husband Chris 24/7 and support our household which includes 3 children 5,2&1 years old. This has completely turned our world upside down financially. We could use helping hands to support our 3 children, medical expenses and pay off rent and utilities with our leasing company we rent from, who did not look at our medical emergency with empathy enough to depart from them free of debt. Whatever you can donate will be appreciated ♥️ thank you
-Being modest on the amount of my goal, I honestly don’t know what I will need to help us for the year.
