Lou’s cancer survivor story

Hi my name is Luke it all started back in 2020 when I had severe night sweats and had to have my right kidney removed I was then in remission for just over 3 years and started getting severe bad pain in my upper thigh near my hip I went to a London A&E and was sent home with pain killers I knew deep down my cancer had come bk due to it being on the same side so I went to a different hospital and was rushed straight in for scans ie mri ct and X-ray I then was diagnosed with a big tumour on my femur and needed a hip and while femur replacement I had a 7 hour operation and lost 3 pints of blood it was very touch and go I had to have a drain in and was in hospital for a week since being home I was referred to pilgrim’s hospice for pain management and what they did for me was incredible because I was told there are not many success stories as I was told I had metastatic kidney cancer incurable I am now in remission and not many people get to walk out them front doors when they go in they no they are leaving through the back in the coffin so I would love to give back to my pacific hospice thanks for reading my story ❤️❤️❤️
