Paige was just diagnosed with a very aggressive form of stage 4 Mediastinal-B cell Lymphoma. After two weeks of running a low grade fever, experiencing flu like symptoms and mild chest pain she went to the doctors (in her words) "To get an antibiotic and be on my merry way!" Can you imagine hearing that you have a large tumor the size of a softball in your chest and further tests are necessary?!!?
Now, fast forward two weeks - Paige has undergone numerous tests, scans and biopsies. The large tumor in her chest is wrapped around her vena cava (a major vein which connects and delivers blood between the heart and part of the chest, neck, head and both arms). Because of its severity and placement, the tumor is inoperable. In addition, she has nodules in her lungs and two cancerous lymph nodes which are also inoperable due to the risk of spreading. She will begin a vigorous regiment of chemotherapy/radiation immediately.
Paige is the beautiful wife of Jay and the wonderful mother of Avery (17), Logan (10), Jack (8) and Christopher (4). She is also my very best friend in the whole wide world! We’ve been BFFs for over 30 years and if anyone is strong enough to fight this battle and beat it, I know she is!!! Paige is literally an angel walking here on this Earth and her good work is not finished yet. If you’ve been friends with her for more than 5 minutes she has probably been there for you or helped you in some way (if not many ways). She is one of the most kind, caring and selfless people I know! Ever since we were little (2 & 3) living across the alley from each other, she’s been rescuing stray animals and friends (yes, I do mean stray friends! LOL) Kathy and Sam Allen’s house was not only home to their own children, but also “home” to any of their children’s friends in need. If you know Paige and her family, you know exactly what I mean and if not, well then just take my word for it! Paige and her family have helped countless people in their lives and now it’s our turn to return the favor and give back!
As you can imagine finances are a major area of concern for any family in this situation; however and most unfortunately Jay (Paige’s husband) lost his job about 8 weeks ago. Bills are already mounting and they are barely making ends meet. Y’all know Paige is a miracle social worker but let’s face it social work doesn’t pay six figures. Sadly, she does not have any short or long term disability and has already used up any paid time off. As she fights this battle to KICK CANCER’S ASS (and I know she will!!!), she will need to take countless days off from work without pay.
Now Paige is the one who needs a MIRACLE! Stressing about keeping the lights on, the mortgage paid and food on the table is the last thing she needs to worry about right now. Please consider making a donation to help support this amazing woman and her family. No amount is too small! PRAYERS and good vibes are also welcome; you can never get enough of those!!!

has been set up to lighten that burden as well. The kids know that “Mommy is sick and is taking some medicine at the hospital to get better” … Jack wanted to know “But who is gonna cook the food???” LOL – Outta the mouths of babes – Ya gotta love it!
