PAMELA'S MEDICAL FUND TO FIGHT  BRAIN TUMOR

This letter was written by my beloved husband, Keith, who adores me and can't stand the thought of losing me and is standing beside me throughout this process.

HER STORY....
He writes...Pamela is a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart. She loves God, her family and her faith community, as well as her neighbor.  She is the rock of the family and shows it in a multitude of ways towards me, her kids and the newest addition to the family; our 1 1/2 year old grandson.  She also gives of her time and talents to her church, especially in the choir, and brings great joy to those who know her.  I've always said she has the voice of an angel.

Pamela was diagnosed with  a mass on her brain back in January of 2016 after suffering with terrible neck pain and tremors in her right hand (for a whole year) and having to endure several MRI'S, chiropractic treatments and physical therapy before they discovered it.

THE LONG JOURNEY TO FIND A DIAGNOSIS
It is located on her left frontal lobe in what is called the eloquent part of the brain, or the motor strip; and is inoperable.  Meanwhile, the MRI's continue and then an MRS, and then two biopsies, and still no diagnosis. Based on the MRS in June 2016 the surgeon believes it is a tumor but the tissue samples have proven inconclusive thus far.  The last biopsy was done Jan 2017 and now 3 months later the latest MRI has confirmed that this "tumor" has now doubled in size. And not only that, but now the symptoms include continual trembling in her right hand as well.

THE UGLY TRUTH....after look

Since there is no firm diagnosis they won't give her chemo, but an Oncologist was willing to treat with radiation. However, he planned on giving the highest dose possible which  we were not comfortable with. So, now that the size has doubled the surgeon is absolutely sure they can get enough tissue for a diagnosis if we do yet a 3rd biopsy. Yikes!  Although this time he is hoping to send me to UCSD, if our insurance will approve it.  And then, when the diagnosis has been determined, we will feel confident to move forward with a treatment plan.

THE STRUGGLE
Meanwhile, we wait, and wait, and wait to see if this is going to happen and when since we don't have any other options at this point.  But the clock is ticking  and who knows how much more this thing will grow before even more symptoms crop up.  And we are running out of resources as well, since the medical bills just keep piling up.  We can hardly even take care of the basic necessities of life.

HOW YOU CAN HELP?
Bottom line is, we don't know how long this battle will have to  be fought or how much it will cost (last year's bills added up over $5000), but if there is anything  you could do to help ease the burden for doctors visits, seizure medicine, MRI's and hospital copays it would be greatly appreciated.  MORE than anything, we covet your prayers!  We both thank you in advance for your consideration and May God Bless you for blessing us.
