Chronic Gi,&leg muscle neuropathy
Donation protected
I have kept silent about what is going on with me as of late. In addition to my pre-cancerous condition, which is finally in check, I am also recovering from a broken leg. I am finishing up the second round of my physical therapy. It was a traumatic injury: 13 screws and 3 plates installed; they were removed in November. Since then, I have had chronic weakness and pain in both legs and have been fighting with my insurance company for about 5 to 6 months to get everything taken care of. Whatever is wrong has gotten much worse. Some days I can barely walk or get out of a car.
I also have a chronic GI condition that I have had for more than 10 years that has progressively worsened. I have been to countless doctors and they cannot figure it out.
People don’t realize what I go through on a weekly basis. I look healthy but I am not. Thankfully, one doctors’ office in White Plains NY took me seriously and is helping me get leg muscle biopsies.
For the past 2 months, nearly every day, I have been going to doctors’ appointments or for physical therapy.
Another turn of events happened in late January, when a NY State Trouper almost killed me on the New York Thruway. He rear-ended me while I was driving only 55 mph. I hit a guardrail twice and later, had a gun pointed at my head. All because I had a rear tail light out. I have a handicap card hanging from my rear view mirror but because I didn’t pull over quickly enough, the cop acted out. My car is destroyed. It was not just a car, I LOVED my MG.One of the few things in life I was able to enjoy.
I live on very little money. Since my health problems have been ongoing for more than 10 years, I live on the edge financially. I don’t get to enjoy too many things anymore due to my health issues. I am behind on my rent and the eviction process has been started. To be honest, I have no idea where I am going to be in a month.
I am hoping that if you’ve read my story on Go Fund Me, you will find it in your heart to donate something. No donation is too small, every little bit helps. Thank you for reading.
