This GoFundMe has been created on behalf of our much-loved Lisa Adams. Many of you will know that Lisa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2024. Since her diagnosis, she has endured 11 months of intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy through the NHS, all in the hope of shrinking the tumour enough to allow it to be removed surgically.

Although the treatments did reduce the tumour’s size, its location—dangerously close to an artery—meant that surgery was ultimately refused in the UK, both through the NHS and privately.

With nowhere left to turn, Lisa’s brother began tirelessly researching specialists abroad who might be able to help. This led to a consultation with a renowned surgeon in Hamburg, Germany, who was willing to take on Lisa’s complex case. The cost of the surgery was quoted at €95,000.

In an extraordinary act of kindness, an anonymous donor came forward and generously paid for Lisa’s initial surgery, as well as travel and accommodation for Lisa and her husband Mark to attend the consultation and prepare for further treatment. The surgeon was confident that surgery could be successful, and it was agreed that Lisa would return for exploratory surgery.

On 9th November 2025, Lisa, her husband Mark, and her daughter Emily travelled to Hamburg for this next stage. On Tuesday, 11th November, the exploratory surgery took place—and thankfully, the surgeon was able to remove the tumour.

However, the procedure came with unforeseen complications. Lisa has since required multiple emergency surgeries and remains in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

As of 19th November 2025, she is still under sedation while the medical team works to stabilise blood flow to her bowels and support her recovery. These complications have resulted in substantial additional medical costs—far beyond what the family can manage alone.

With everything Lisa and her family are facing, both emotionally and physically, I have set up this page to help ease the financial burden and ensure Lisa can continue receiving the life-saving care she urgently needs.
