We are coming together as a family and asking support for Myles Hutchinson’s future medical needs.
Myles has been diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury/Post Concussion Syndrome from a fall he experienced on the ice 4 years ago. This injury has affected Myles and his wife and kids greatly. Many days are filled with headache, agitation/anger, noise and light sensitivity, depression/anxiety.
Myles has sought medical advice and has seen specialists throughout this time trying to find a solution to his symptoms. He is currently on a medication that helps manage his symptoms (costs $350 a month) and is also hoping to begin some vision therapy that will improve communication between his eyes and brain ($1500.00). In addition he also needs to begin some cognitive therapy to treat reaction times, memory, and balance as well as on going counseling for depression as a result of this injury.
With Post Concussion Syndrome the doctors don’t know what their future will look like regarding recovery, experts have said at this point his injury is life long and there may only be a small improvement.
We still believe in miracles and are standing with his family as they seek out the best alternative treatments available, some of which are very costly ($20,000)
We are asking those who know and love Myles and Wendi to join us in our attempt to help secure these treatments and their future medical needs that are unknown at this point. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
