“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.” — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih Muslim)
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain that grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.” — Quran 2:261
“...And whoever saves one life — it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.” — Quran 5:32
On April 25, 2026, our beloved Hussein Said arrived in Canada with his wife and five children, hoping to begin a new life in safety and peace after fleeing hardship as refugees. Tragically, moments after arriving at the airport, Hussein suddenly passed away. His death was completely unexpected and has left his family devastated beyond words.
Hussein was a loving husband, devoted father, and the sole provider for his family of seven. He carried the dreams and responsibilities of his wife and children, working tirelessly to give them hope for a better future. What was meant to be the beginning of a new chapter in Canada became a heartbreaking tragedy no family should ever endure.
Now, the remaining family of six — his wife and five children — are left grieving the loss of the man who was the center of their family, while also facing overwhelming uncertainty and financial hardship in a country they have just arrived in. As newcomers to Canada, they are not eligible for government social assistance during their first year, leaving them without the support they urgently need during this painful time.
The family is struggling with funeral and burial expenses, housing, food, clothing, transportation, and the basic necessities needed to rebuild their lives while coping with unimaginable grief and trauma.
We are asking for your kindness, prayers, and support to help Hussein’s wife and children through this devastating loss. Any donation, no matter how small, will help provide stability, dignity, and hope for this grieving family as they try to navigate life without their husband and father.
For those who are able to give, this support can also become a form of Sadaqah Jariyah — a continuing charity whose rewards continue through the lives you help uplift. By helping provide safety, shelter, food, and stability for this vulnerable family, you are supporting a cause deeply beloved in Islam: caring for widows, orphans, travelers, and those in hardship.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.” (Al-Mu’jam Al-Awsat)
Please consider donating, sharing this fundraiser, and keeping Hussein Said and his family in your du’as and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
May Allah reward every person who gives, eases this family’s burden, and helps them rebuild after this heartbreaking loss. Ameen.
