Hi, my name is Miracle Heagle. I am 20 years old and a sophomore attending Howard University. Recently, I was accepted into the HUSSA (Howard University Swahili Study Abroad) program in Tanzania, Africa. Along with being accepted, I was awarded a $3000 scholarship. I am extremely grateful for my acceptance and the scholarship, but costs are still high. Even with the scholarship, I would have to pay for visas, passports, necessary immunizations, and other personal expenses that are not included in tuition. I would love to attend this study abroad program that would allow me to step out of my comfort zone and experience another culture and lifestyle during the summer, while learning another language and gaining college credits. Please help me reach my goal of participating in this study abroad program in Tanzania, Africa for the summer of 2017.
