Husky Boxing's Road to Four
Donation protected
Husky Boxing is a club sport at the University of Washington in Seattle. Established nearly 7 years ago, the club has grown to over 50 undergraduate and graduate students participating each year. Our program is focused on leader development and learning life skills. We believe the discipline and determination required of the sport builds scholar-athletes and future leaders. The experience and camaraderie that comes along with training, traveling, and competing beside one another is one that will last a lifetime. We are a family and part of the six minute fraternity!
Over the course of 6 years, the program has produced strong scholar-athletes that represent the University in and out of the ring. Specifically, the program has developed 15 national champions, 8 Golden Glove Champions, 1 Olympic Trials Qualifier, 2 Navy SEALS, several military officers, 1 physician, 6 medical school students, 1 law student and 1 professional boxer. In addition, we have won three consecutive National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) Team Championships. We are on the quest for four in a row!
The Regional and National competitions are both within the next 4 weeks and we need your help. We are asking for support from family, friends, alumni, and fans to help cover traveling costs. We are on the road to our fourth National title, and we are asking you to take this journey with us. This journey is more than a boxing competition. From the road trip, to weighing in, to getting our hands wrapped, to the celebration at the end, this journey teaches life-long lessons and creates memories that are unparalleled to anything else. We thank you in advance for your support. Will you help? Anything, even as little as $20 helps. If you cannot help financially, would you at least share this with your network? Our goal is $20,000 to fly and house 19 athletes and 4 coaches to compete at Regionals (Reno) and Nationals (Cincinnati). Thank you in advance for your support.
