Husband’s injury causes family in need

Hello my husband James was at work as usual but that morning he tripped and fell on his knee he had me rush to pick him up and take him to the ER in downtown Saint Pete. I wasn’t able to go in with him due to our two young boys being with us and in a hurry out the door the youngest only in his diaper. James was told he was going to get an x-ray but says he need an MRI and then they don’t give them there for this type of injury. My husband is the only income as I am a stay at home mom who has been currently homeschooling my eight-year-old with my two-year-old as well. James was sent home with directions to follow up with a specialist.  His boss graciously cover the bill to find out James will be out of work for six weeks for nine months because he needs his meniscus removed and his ACL reconstructed. We don’t know how we are going to pay the bills. I would find a job but I can’t leave James with the kids because he can barely walk. We honestly have no clue how we are going to pay for the surgery either. We still have not received a call informing of how much this will all cost zero to no insurance. $10,000 is guess but I do know that our rent is $1,400 a month and we are getting close to July.  Electric, water, and phone are close to $300 a month food is covered because our boys get food stamps. It is still up in the air about Workman’s comp(if they approve the claim or not) we know the next couple of weeks at least we won’t have any income and rent will be due.  I don’t like having to ask for help but in this situation we are desperate.  Thank you for your time.
