Help Us Overcome This Setback!

On March 18th, my husband fell on some stairs and tore both quadricep tendons. He had knee surgery 2 days later.

He spent 2 weeks in the hospital and 2 weeks in rehab. He’s been wearing locked leg braces since the surgery. He can’t walk without assistive devices, and we have to utilize special transportation to get him to doctor's appointments and to church. He also needs assistive devices to get around, like a wheelchair and a walker to get to the restroom (our home is not wheelchair accessible). I had to remove the bathroom door so he could get in.

This accident did happen at work, so our insurance will not cover anything until worker's comp approves or denies him. It’s been 8 weeks with no income. He can’t start physical therapy; he’s stuck playing the waiting game. I’ve taken FMLA to help care for him, so I also have no income coming in at the moment. We have savings that took some time to build up, but it’s gone out a lot faster.
