My wonderful husband, hard worker and best friend was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2016. He was just upgraded from a stage 3 to a stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer. He was also terminated from his job after using up the FLMA which resulted in loss of health insurance as well. Now he needs help to continue treatment. Since he has not been able to eat solid foods for almost 3 months he was placed on a TPN. The tumor is inoperable at this time. A gastric bypass has been performed so that he can start eating solid food and maybe return to chemo treatment. In the meantime he will be fed through a G tube. Unfortunately SSDI will not start giving Michael his disability checks until March of 2017 which most likely will be too late. However costs of medications and care still need to be paid. Hopefully his Medicaid will be approved. Even though we filed a Compassionate Allowance with SSDI, I have the feeling they are trying to drag it out so that he will pass away before he can receive a penny . We appreciate any amount donated and thank you in advance. Cancer of the pancreas is the most fatal and the least researched. We must raise awareness.
