To Our Dearest Family and Friends,

Unfortunately, on the night of November 18th, 2022, Ernest Correo suddenly passed away.

You may have known him as "Dad," Big ERN, Coach and Friend. He was a hard-working individual who was well-regarded and made such an impact on everyone he met. Ernie was a retired Fireman, an avid Hunter/Fisherman, and a Hockey Coach. Life brought Ernie and his wife Gwen to Dayton, Nevada, almost 20 years ago, where he thrived being an outdoorsman. Ernie’s love for the Old Western world brought him later in life to join the Virginia City Silent Riders, helping to keep the history of Virginia City alive, which he was so passionate about and where he would be found walking the boardwalk dressed in his Western attire.

Life blessed Ernie with being a Grandfather of Jordan, who was the joy of his life. Along with Gwen, Ernie raised Jordan. They raised him to be a respectful and humble young man as well as to embrace life fully. Ernie enjoyed teaching Jordan how to fish, hunt, and explore the outdoors. He often brought him to Virginia City to participate in Western activities and events. Jordan adored his grandfather and loved spending time with him.

Ernie was the life of every party and welcomed people from all walks of life with open arms and a million stories. He taught his family three most important life lessons: love unconditionally, learn from your mistakes, and forgive others. No matter how you knew Ernie, he touched your life one way or another. In our world, we need more people like him. He will always be remembered for having the kindest soul, sweetest and warmest personality, and endless life stories.
