It is with an extremely heavy heart that I’m putting together this Gofundme memorial. On October 29, 2020, my husband, Eric Devone Sanders, unexpectedly passed away at our home in the early morning hours. This is another devastating loss for our family. Four years ago, we loss our son, Chase Devone Smith-Sanders, full term.

He leaves behind a wife and 5 children ages 1, 3, 11, 16, and 21. Eric was an amazing husband, devoted and loving father. We were his world and he was ours. The hole he left in our family will never be filled. My husband continuously put us ahead of himself. There isn't anything he wouldn't have done for us. He believed that in life you find a way or make one.

He worked hard, was respected by his colleagues and loved by all who knew him. His passion was driving trucks. We used to team drive together until I went back into the school system. We had big dreams for our family, my husband wanted us to have our own trucking business.

Along with the emotional pain, stress, and agony that this unexpected passing brings, it also brings an overwhelming financial burden.

This campaign is being set up in response to the many request from those looking to help our family. We have been inundated with love and support, wondering what can be done to help. Without a life insurance policy, we are now facing a lot of unknowns and financial burdens. As our hearts ache and with a broken heart, I'm humbly asking for your support. The money raised will help alleviate the financial burden and will provide support for my family. It will help with food and groceries, household expenses, daycare for our two babies, living expenses, medical expenses, future college tuition for our children, and the memorial service.

My family can then focus on healing and celebrating my husband/their dad’s beautiful life. Eric will forever be in our hearts and minds. We will miss him until our last breath.
