This is a fund raiser for Mani Pagidipalli. Mani is a missionary who lives in India and has spread the Gospel to thousands of people, baptizing hundreds along the way. Mani has grown up in the church with both his father and grandfather being preachers, and is devoted to the work of the Lord.
Mani was a medical surgeon but he gave that up to preach the gospel full-time. He uses his training to help people medically, but the ultimate goal is to reach them spiritually. He works tirelessly and sees everyone he meets as an eternal soul.
There are many challenges to overcome in India, number one being the extreme poverty. There are 1-1/2 billion people in the country and less than 1% are Christians. The work is abundant and the laborers are few. The country has been hit by typhoons the last two years in a row which has added to the poverty. People have lost homes, farms and livelihood. It has also heightened the medical needs as people are drinking unclean water and disease is easily spread. There is little money for medical needs. Mani and his fellow workers try to reach people and open doors by providing rice bags, clean water and basic medical supplies. Many have been taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their acts of kindness. People want to know WHY they help and that's when the love of Jesus can be told.
Another difficult challenge facing Mani and other Christians is extreme persecution. It is not easy to practice Christianity in India and many people have been physically harmed for their belief in Jesus Christ. Mani relays many stories to us of people murdered, beaten, pushed out of their villages and shunned by their families for following our Saviour. This is something that should never be taken for granted in America where we are free to worship without fear or retaliation.
Our goal is $5000, but we know that our God is mighty and can exceed that goal through your generosity. It is our hope that you will prayerfully consider a gift to this cause, no amount is too small. Three dollars will buy a Bible in India. Thirty cents will print gospel pamphlets to hand out. Eyeglasses can be purchased for just a few dollars, as well. Just think what the cost of your daily coffee could do for a soul in need.
"Gofundme" has a minimal charge but everything else goes straight to the mission field! There is no "organization" or "administator" that will keep a portion of the funds.
